Some people find it really helpful to gather together with a few others to look into heart of the Christian message. The big advantage here, is that ideas can bounce round the group which can add clarification and the quieter amongst us, can stay exactly that!
Often a small group like this will meet up for a few weeks to ask questions and to explore the life of the person who’s at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible. You won’t be asked to read aloud, pray or sing. You can ask any question you want, or just listen.
Everyone is welcome – from those with a background in church to the convinced atheist. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs, and you can tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable.
Our aim is to help people investigate Christianity in a relaxed and accessible way, and we encourage guests to come with all of their questions. In just a few weeks we won’t be able to cover everything, but many people have found getting together like this to be a good introduction to the big issues. We also like to give you a Bible so you can read for yourself one of the eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life over the weeks.
We often meet in the home of one of our church family members but such groups have met over Zoon, in Pubs or Coffee shops, so that it is a possibility.
Some people think joining such a group could be for them, but they’re not sure. You’re very welcome to come along once or twice to give it a try. Additionally, such groups usually meet between 4 to 7 times together, so it’s not an opened ended commitment.
Often, to give our time together some structure we will use a ‘course’.
