Gospel partners in the Bible are people or organisations who support each other as they live for Jesus in the places they find themselves. There are a number of different Gospel partnerships at Cornerstone Church.
All the people in our church family are ‘partnering’ with each other as we help each other live for Jesus day by day. More information about our Church Family can be found here.
Cornerstone Church, Grays is pleased to be a member of the Anglican Mission in England (AMiE). AMiE is a diocese that is passionate about starting and strengthening churches for the salvation of many and the glory of God. We long to see the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ proclaimed to all nations and are determined to play our part in the Great Commission.
Being part of a denomination means
- That we are mutually responsible to other AMiE churches.
- That our Bishops (Andy Lines, Tim Davies and Lee McMunn) offers oversight, leadership, prayer and support to us.
- We help each other in prayer, practical support and money
- The churches together agree forms of governance that are common to all AMiE churches.
We don’t expect everyone who is part of our church family to be Anglican. A number of our folks do not think of themselves as Anglican and that is absolutely fine.
Our unity is found first and foremost in the Lord Jesus Christ and the biblical gospel.
If you’re a Christian who does not consider yourself to be an Anglican and are looking for a local church in the Thurrock area please do come along to have a look, you may be pleasantly surprised.
AMiE is also a member of the Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE), a proto-province created by GAFCON. We value our partnership with orthodox Anglicans all over the world.
We’re very thankful to our Lord that a number of individuals from other churches (in the UK and further afield) and whole church families are partnering with us as they support us in prayer and in some cases with finance as well. It has been a joy to witness this partnership with individuals and churches who are part of AMiE, the Church of England, FIEC and other denominations. Some of the churches which have partnered with us include:
- Christ Church, Wrye Forest
- Immanuel Church, Brentwood
- St John’s Church, Walthamsow
- St Peter’s Church, Harold Wood
- Trinity Church, Scarborough
If you or a church you are part of would like to regular pray for us here please do complete and return this data consent form and return to the Cornerstone office.
We are pleased to be supporting the ministry of Gerald and Louise Mwangi in Kenya. More information and links to uptodate prayer points can be found here.
